Because they wanted to that why

  2. @PickupsAreNotTrucks Avatar

You people that live in the south are so cute. Don’t know why the tires are painted. That’s adorable!

  3. @bdub4585 Avatar

Someone ran out of paint trying to white wall those bad boys

  4. @Immarkhi Avatar

    State troopers shift
    Checking 10hr on drivers

  5. @Shane75140 Avatar

Rolling verification not locked up or froze

  6. @leegibson5469 Avatar

Brakes or more precise parking. I can see if you use this for that.

  7. @ohyeah4365 Avatar

To see if my tires moving instead of locked due to air brakes

  8. @MichaelWinkelman-rm1hp Avatar

Learned something new and makes sense now about the brake lock up.

  9. @thomassabia5750 Avatar

In snow country so you can see them moving after it's been parked in the winter

  10. @lesliegibbons6917 Avatar

So they know which ones are full of cocain or money.

  11. @neilhughes1206 Avatar

They are racing stripes and you will think you are the kingshit going down the boulevard.

  12. @faithhighfield7708 Avatar

In earthmoving it was to if operators were spinning the tires excessively from a distance 🫣

  13. @icethebatpony6371 Avatar

Thing Schneider does to all their trailers as a visual check to make sure you aren’t dragging the brakes, if not paint they’ll have like a yellow or some piece of plastic held on the lug nuts that stick out from the rim

  14. @Mirici1 Avatar

If you cant feel if your tires are rolling or dragging then you have no business behind a wheel. You can literally feel it and its unmistakable.

  15. @sambeamer6851 Avatar

All you got to do is turn the steering wheel a bit and look in the mirror you can do that to either side to see if your wheels are turning without painting them it's like a driver training thing

  16. @HeikoTheeastGerman Avatar

To see if it's moving. Especially in icy winter time. I mark my tires with chalk when I pick a TRL in the winter season.

  17. @luckychucky1570 Avatar

It's because you want to make sure the trailer tires are actually spinning. Your brakes not locked up and it's Schneider, not the orange ones

  18. @ChrisDuma-q9y Avatar

So you can tell if the wheels are turning
In the winter the brakes freeze to the brake drums, and sometimes you can't tell if the wheels are rolling or if you're just dragging them along.

  19. @elizabethramsey1554 Avatar

It’s so they can sniff the tires later. That’s a special type of paint. Kind of like those tooth picks uncle bob used to have.

  20. @jimsperanza1391 Avatar

Over a lot of years one mechanic that was in charge of a lot of trailers would just go out and mark bad tires. But over the years I've seen a lot of things that just don't make any sense😅

  21. @jasonrideout6786 Avatar

To determine if the trailer has been moved

  22. @deanm4138 Avatar

It’s so you know if your wheels are locked up in the winter

  23. @craigvideos5063 Avatar

So you can see if they're dragging or not

  24. @Rumblestrip Avatar

are you serious??? okay steering wheel holder, if you not joking… the idea is you can see it in your mirrors spinning… when its not spinning your sliding…now is it effective?? for some people yes…

  25. @randolphstead2988 Avatar

They are zebra stripes; they confuse lions trying to bite the tires.

  26. @vashspecter Avatar

Honestly, it’s better to do the yellow straps, much more visible cost barely anything, and reusable after tire changes. And they do help with knowing if tires are moving or is brake is releasing all the way

  27. @blauer2551 Avatar

For newbies that can’t tell if the brakes released

  28. @TDUB637 Avatar

Helps us see if trailer brakes are frozen

  29. @Laryixgames3259 Avatar

To see if they are spinning in your mirror

  30. @katdaddy469 Avatar

It's an attention getter. Just like a swift Buford T. Justice kick

  31. @TimK-r1x Avatar

Hot rod white walls c’mon 😅
Lets the driver see if the brakes have released from the drum. Them chassis can sit for long periods and rust the lining to the drum.

  32. @oldtrucker335 Avatar

Cookie, hell with that! I want a chicken dinner! Cheap skate.🤪

  33. @jerrykinnin7941 Avatar

Look in your mirrors and o
If you see the stripes moving your brakes aren't locked up. If you don't see the stripes moving your brakes are locked up. Yuul see the same thing on trucks out of North Dakota with the yellow plastic strip I like the yellow plastic strip better.

  34. @markstorer7204 Avatar

So ypu can see in the mirrors if they have a flat, or if the brakes have ceased on

  35. @outback954 Avatar

Been driving trucks of all kinds and all types of trailers I never did this nor did anyone I know😂

  36. @anthonyjames2056 Avatar

Crap container yard chassis that need maintenance but only fix the ones the brakes hang up on

  37. @cyndiward5170 Avatar

    Mirror check…….keep on rollin"👍

  38. @bashirpaikar1326 Avatar

Y’all blaming brakes actually it’s U-turn creates that, go learn some geometry 😂

  39. @blinkingcursor4284 Avatar

Its a fun road game so the people in passenger vehicles can count the revolutions to determine the speed of the tractor trailer without looking at their cluster for a speed check. They do the same thing with lines painted on drag racing tires, except they use a high speed camera on a hydraulic dolly attached to the track while projecting the footage on the jumbotron. 🤪😆🤣😆 Safe travels ✌🏻

  40. @scotthogeland3223 Avatar

They paint them to see if your brakes are working properly especially on older trailers

  41. @scotthogeland3223 Avatar

Also some companies paint the tires on the older trailers they are about to take out of service
