Physics doesn't care about your lights and sirens. A semi can't stop on a dime, and when traveling at a high rate of speed, police need to maintain a heightened state of awareness.
The worst part of this, even though the truck driver wasn't at fault, it will still be on his/her DAC report as being involved in an injury accident. It could potentially cause him huge financial repercussions in the future. Tisk Tisk.
@Ugolord
I saw this on the channel that ran it originally. It was a Texas cop, don’t remember the town, but he LIVED!! He was in the hospital for a long time, but the crash was NOT fatal.
It’s no way to expect a truck to stop that fast the officer should’ve known to let him pass
Careful. New friend here❤
Fire🚒Trucks, we look both ways lights+sirens + horn at 10 mph through intersections.
The cup fault
When cops think they are above the law and can do whatever they want. He was so confident the truck was going to stop on a dime he never braked just laid on the siren.
Well that ended the way I thought, physics always wins.
As a Medically Retired Volunteer Firefighter and EMT-P, even though the police officer was running code, they should slow down enough to "clear the intersection". That means he/she should visually verify that no traffic is approaching the intersection and once visually verified, floor the accelerator
Surely the driver is going to get blamed for that
That truck said, shut up, boy. It's too late for that nonsense.😂
