Messed up part is they have to pay to get it out of there. Which typically cost more than the freight they’re hauling. Shame.
Subtract the grade from 10. If it's a 5 grade go down in 5th gear , if it's a 4 grade go down in 6th gear , if it's a 6 grade or more you're in Canada
If you'd said 80mph, even then you'd have been stretching the realms of incredulity. 100mph? No such semi-trailer exists, especially with most having governors on their engines these days.

You can hit 100 if you don’t got brakes, you’re free ball in it, but that scares me all the time constantly watching my speed and my brakes, going down the mountains can get pretty scary. He handled that very well. Glad he’s OK.

Why do semis lose brakes? I know the brakes only work with air pressure. But doesn’t that build up with the gas?

Because of the grades of roads, brakes will sometimes fail.
You'll see paths like that all over the tall hills and in the mountains…
