About the AMBEST network

AMBEST is a member-owned sales, marketing and purchasing organization for independently owned truck stops and service centers. Founded in 1988, it gives local operators a shared national brand, purchasing programs and fleet relationships. Its travel-center network brings together more than 500 independently operated locations. A location’s own operator remains the right contact for specific facilities, local policies and service availability.

For a company driver, AMBEST can help identify independent alternatives along a route. The network includes travel centers, fuel stops, express sites and service or mobile-service locations. These categories describe different kinds of businesses; an AMBEST listing alone does not mean that a site has the same parking capacity, food choices or repair capabilities as another member.

Finding fuel, parking and services

Use the official location search to review a stop’s address and contact information. Then confirm tractor-trailer access, diesel lanes, DEF, parking arrangements and any services required for your trip with that location. Plan a second stop if your schedule depends on finding parking late in the day. A network listing does not reserve a space or override local signs.

Carrier fuel policies still apply. Before fueling, check whether dispatch approves the location, whether your assigned card is accepted and which pump or transaction method your account requires. A driver-rewards membership, a fleet-card account and the truck stop’s posted retail price are separate parts of the transaction.

Fuel cards for drivers and fleets

AMBEST currently describes two EFS options. The Direct Card targets businesses operating multiple vehicles and offers customizable controls and reporting. The Preferred Card targets individual drivers and smaller fleets seeking simpler account management. The program promotes fuel discounts at AMBEST sites, broader card acceptance and expense information.

The Direct program’s detailed page describes purchase and cash-advance controls, online account administration, reporting and round-the-clock customer service. Review the current agreement and accepting-location list before applying. Discounts, reward multipliers and transaction-fee credits have program conditions; do not assume a promotional figure applies to every gallon or every participating site.

AMBUCK$ rewards and the mobile app

AMBUCK$ is AMBEST’s driver loyalty program, introduced in 1994. Its official program information describes points for eligible purchases and a shower credit with qualifying fuel purchases of at least 75 gallons. Current promotions and participating-location rules determine the actual benefit. Ask the store to explain expiration, redemption and purchase eligibility before relying on a reward.

The AMBEST mobile app helps drivers work with the network and rewards program. Use official app links from AMBEST’s site. Keep your loyalty account information available when requesting points assistance, and provide the location, purchase date and receipt details so support can identify the transaction.

Truck repairs and cargo assistance

AMBEST’s service-center program includes repair and mobile-service businesses. Its Cargo Solutions offering describes load-shift assistance, banding, cross-docking, load transfers and forklift services. Call the intended service provider before arriving to confirm equipment, operating hours, staffing and whether it can handle your vehicle or freight problem. Obtain carrier approval for repairs and cargo work when required.
