It's not the rocks that he's hauling that are such a danger. It's the incompetent drivers that choose to tailgate this dump truck, getting a massive rock that's stuck between his tires that go clean through their windshield! FYI, it's not the big rocks that usually come out of the bed, it's the tiny ones that the wind can blow out off the top. Be smart and stay back tarped or not!

Some states require that you always have a tarp on for specified material whereas others do not require one at all. However, even states with no tarping laws still require that the load in the dump truck does not disperse along the way. Not every state requires them to be used. Just before operating a dump truck know the local laws and regulations that you need to follow

I am so sick of cracked windshields from those trucks, no matter the distance I kept, somehow bounces off pavement onto my windshield.
