I am a receiving clerk that works in a window checking drivers in and out. I am the one that has to tell you what and how to pay. It is not an easy job. I am caught in the middle of everything. The company tells me how much to charge. And I can not wave fees of any kind, bc that is my job and I will not lose it for not doing my job. Drivers have to remember that the delivery lots are not truck stops. If you are hanging out in a door, we cannot move along with putting another truck in it. It causes so many issues for us in the office and other drivers. Just leave and get out of everyone's way. If you want to take a nap or your break, move on to the nearest truck stop.

Easy….no more loads to that consignee. That is why I do Production and Lighting Logistics. They are thrilled to death to see you, give you a place to park, unload your truck and show you where catering and the showers are. You know where you are going next and when you will be there. This career is what you make of it. Stay away from mega-carriers is my advice.

What happens when a driver's out of drive time. Happens allot. Especially in bad weather.

The owner of the company is a real ass. I personally have seen him make a female employee cry, due to him screaming at her. This was at the Bolingbrook, Ill warehouse

I've been in there several times in there the nicest people in the world. But they have people pulling in there and staying there for 10 hours and they don't have the room. It's so bad that they've had to resort to this.
Plan your trip accordingly. They receive and ship according to appointment times and they stick to the appointment times better than anybody else. They even give you a half an hour in the parking lot after you are finished. But they don't give you 10 hours. Quit being an asshole.
