What a joke, companies aren’t calling you because you’re hitting your brakes too hard, they aren’t calling you because you took a corner too fast, none of that. They’re calling you because the way you drive is unsafe and you are CONSISTENTLY driving in a way that is setting off the camera.

TAKE YOUR TIME. You are not going to get to your destination faster by speeding, if you’re speeding too much you might get fired before you even get there. Why are drivers going 80+ on the east coast? Are you trying to kill yourself or someone else?

Drive in a way that is safe and courteous like you were taught in the first place, start slowing down early and for fucks sake stop tailgating other people. What ACTUAL REASON do you have to be within 50 feet of another truck, hell I’ve seen some of us less than 10 feet from a passenger car going 75+ flashing their highbeams.

You people need to realize that the way you drive is fucking crazy and the trucking industry is tired of it. That’s why we have the cameras, because when YOU kill someone there won’t be anyone else to blame.

I worked for Halliburton, and we didn't even have that shit. You could get violations, but they'd just call your Supervisors Supervisor. All the offroading we do on Ranches they'd be calling all day.

Had my CDL since 1986 , I've never had an accident or a ticket I ignore the camera If they don't like the way I drive they can kiss my 40 years of safe driving ass.

The cameras are B.S. we drive because we like freedom and no boss looking over your shoulder, but insurance companies are pushing companies to install camera's.

“Hit a corner too hard” he says…I sure hope safety wants to talk to you about that…what is this man doing whipping a 70’ 80000 pound truck around corners?

17 years at FedEx pulling doubles and triples had triple cameras for 7 years on a team dedicated run that was 5200 miles a week. Never had an accident or an issue with them. The guys not wanting cameras are the same ones with fucking dvd players on their dashes or are watching porn on their phones while driving. As long as you can close the curtain at night if running as a single driver for privacy then you shouldn’t care!

Let's put a camera in your house when you work from home, tell me how it is different as a owner operator?
Don't work for these companies, they have no reason to look at you.

They will call you while you're driving knowing you aren't supposed to take calls while driving.

    Religious Accommodation Request.

No cost LENS CAP COVER on inward-facing camera only.

No where to run, and leads them straight into an EEOC claim

I had that system go off at every stop sign. So I floored it at one and it never went off. Company can change the sensitivity of it but its all bs. I like the camera to see if our drivers are paying attention but it sends notifications for some of the dumbest shit.

I never minded the inward facing camera while I was driving. But, there were times when I would stop to use the camping toilet that I had behind the passenger seat, and I'd forget to cover the camera in my rush to get my pants down. When I realized that the camera was still recording, I'd laugh and say, "OOPS, you weren't supposed to see that." A couple of months of those mishaps, I was given a cover for the inside camera. 😅

If he has a point why call him a crybaby?

Samsara sucks. Voice told me to reduce speed. I was going 55 in a 55. Stuck my middle finger right in the camera. I think it called me an antisemite. I thought, What the F#@k? Anyway my HR gal reviews all these things and has to erase all those things if necessary. If you are getting called in all the time you are probably a problem.

Only ones crying or complaining about cameras are the ones on their phones, tailagting other trucks or speeding like dumbasses. We've had cameras for years now and ive never had a problem nor did anyone at our terminal. I guess thats why we get 130-160k/ year as local drivers, because we are professionals. These guys deserve every bit of the .50 a mile they are paid.

He just pissed off he can't piss in his jug while driving one of those just-in-time loads they send everybody on where if you do stop to pee you end up late for delivery. Imagine getting a load that picks up at LAX at 5pm and they want you in san francisco airport in 8 hrs😅😅😅😅😅 so…not only do you have to blow thru stop signs and red lights and drive 65-70 in cali….you aint got time to stop and pee if you want a small chance of making that load on time. American Eagle (BROKER) use to pay us an extra $200 if we made deliveries ontime back in the 90's and we were working for a different trucking company.

  23. @BanTheCrookedBlueLine Avatar

If you don't like them calling you and telling you to come back then don't drive like a fuckin fool

  24. @ronnieb1285 Avatar

Let's put them in the company office. And we can have screens in the trucks. And see all the bull shit they do. Like not looking for a load until the next day!!@
