Why would you ask anybody to back or even drive your truck?
Unless I misinterpreted your meaning by asking if he could “spot” you as you back in.
I would help spot you but not drive your truck -
That is a vital part of the job

The next time you try to back into a spot at the pilot. Try changing the color of your flip-flops. Red motivates me to go in faster and blue I wear my 36-hour reset. But look up brother you ain't got to be discouraged we all got to help each other sometimes. Yesterday this nice city police officer stopped me from going into town because there was a low bridge and they were signs before but I just wasn't paying attention. He even wrote me a reminder to meet him back at court in a few months he's such a nice fella

There are rookie steering wheel holders and there are experienced steering wheel holders but we are all steering wheel holders with different levels of experience.

Im poor so I cant drive a manual because it requires extra training!! Make fun of poor people for getting in any truck we can. I cry about it while I hold my coffee in a stop and go traffic jam.
Also, just take 5 hours to back into that spot. In a month itll take you 4 and a half hours. Just do it and sleep on it and do it again and one day you will still not know what the hell you are doing, but youll look like a pro.

Well that's what all truck drivers are, steering wheel holders, because that's what we do, we hold the steering wheel to steer the truck where it has to go.

I would help you back into the spot by guiding you back but would not back it up for you. The only way you will learn to back it up is to do it. That awful guy you described gives us all a bad name out here. Glad you didn’t engage with the trash of the road.

Im a steering wheel holder too and damn proud of it! We are still driving 18 wheelers all over God's Country doing and hauling the same exact stuff that manual shifting trucks do. I have absolutely No desire to learn manual shifting in a big truck or a 4 wheeler sooooo these manual shifting Assholes need to just get over it already!
