He definitely did it. As a trailer mechanic, i can tell you, you don't even have to give a reason why it's smashed when the trailer goes to the shop for maintenance. No video necessary. Don't report minor damage to your supervisor/dispatch, it only goes on your company record. If the damage is minor enough that you can still effectively pull the trailer, the mechanic wont ask what happened, we just fix and put it as standard maintenance in the computer.
Abs light being out/smashed is fine as long as you dont have to use your brakes in front of dot. I've worked at places that rarely fixed abs issues, just unplug the light and let er ride

Looks like someone may have or could've done that or maybe YOU made a mistake and hit something while backing in a hole and don't wanna admit it…..can't imagine the scratches and the mashed in light, but NO other damage anywhere.
What it looks like to me is you where pulling out of a hole and clipped a neighbor truck or guard pole perhaps….. -
