The future of trucking, meanwhile your colleagues are parked in the fuel island, wondering around inside the truck stop in their flip flops,
In other words if your lacking the skills or to trifling lazy to back into a spot, your good to go.
Get er done van lines !

The problem with parking nose first is getting out. If you have trucks parked on either side of you when you leave, your vision behind you is significantly impaired. Putting you at greater risk of the Truckstop 500 drivers.
Your doing that also can make backing into the adjacent spots harder as your tractor has no overhang comparable to trailer tandems. So your trailer tail(assuming a flavor of box van) likely is hanging out in the travel lane several feet further. This also impacts vision for your neighbors when they seek to leave. Needless to say, a box van has an obstruction profile much larger than the cab so when paired with sticking out further…

The other issue is how much space is available for backing out as your ability to turn is also impaired compared to the alternative. Just have to be smart about where you do it.

One plus side of parking that way is it's generally quieter(unless you are the guy with the refer). But on the flip side, if you are a refer driver and the guys next to you aren't, it might make a quieter rest period for them if they're parked in the opposite from you.

None of my business unless your trailer tail is blocking or causing problems with someone else's ability to maneuver in that area

Not as lazy as it is stupid. Now you have to goal 30 times when youre leaving. Theres a reason why you rarely see it. Why only 1 or 2 out of the 200 trucks you see at a truck stop are parked like that.

It's anti lazy…still more of a pain to back out into traffic no matter how long you're parked there.

Sounds like a true steering wheel holder. All of you clowns are the reason truckers don't get any respect.

I nose in occasionally when I'm pulling a reefer. I try to just find two reefers to back between, but that's not always available. Just trying to be considerate of my neighbors.

    Better than the fuel isle

I nose in when I’m pulling a reefer trailer but only if I won’t be blocking any spots and I can back straight out.
