"Code Brown' for 2 drivers. Still that is a lot better than crashing on the way down and causing a deadly crash.
Youre gonna see a lot more of this with all the brown DEI driver licenses being gifted to ppl who cant even read english
Atleast he was only a truck length from stopping when he stopped he burnt most his speed
Hwy 58 in Oregon heading east not to bad going west pass the tunnel down hill an tight turn but still a fun drive
Hope they are both ok 🙏❤
"We have to call 9-1-1." That was stated in a calm, matter of fact tone that the person saying those words would be a great emergency room doctor. I ceture to say that she is a "Doctor Mom."
That poor truck in the back
Is it just because of social media and the fact everything is video taped now or are those ramps being used at a much higher rate than they used to be. Is truck maintenance becoming less and less important to some people?
Appalachians kill me. Heard many a radio scream Jake Brakes, your brakes are smoking…
Either Rookies with automatic or no 1 has been doing pretrips correctly
So 2 shity cdl drivers they go to the same driving school 😂
Tf is 4 eyes in the video for not even talking
That’s the quality of products these days folks! Putting your life in a morons hands that don’t feel like doing work that day.
Jeez, hasnt anybody taught them how to manage mountains.Use gears and jake brake and before you start down, pull over slide under trailer, adjust brakes snug then back off 1/4 turn.use whatever gear you climbed the hill with or one lower.I drove all the the west and only smoked the brakes once, learned my lesson.
Going to fast
Pure lack of skill. They just give CDLs to anybody who asks for one.
Truck Norris
Driver 2 could have avoided that crash
I don’t get why the second one chose to hit the other truck his chances were better if he rolled it soon as he hit the pea gravel let alone why he thought two trucks could fit he made a grave mistake
2 trucks 11000 dollars visa mastercard or cash only maybe com check or efs probably cash or credit
I never came close to burning my brake's up I go slow down mountains even when mty all ways skerred all ways tremblin
Dont know how to go down go head and call that geryhound
Get in the right gear and jake it no need to touch brakes not once going down 17 in camp verde AZ with 43 in the box rookies
6 percent or more time to pay attention nothin to sneeze at 5 percent kill some drivers
5 percent downgrades scare me in the rain or snow
The guys from California shouldn't be on the road they can drive can't speak or read English it's dangerous
No the trucks did not loose anything . The drivers either did not pre trip their trucks properly and mist defects in the braking system or they can’t downgrade worth a shit.
Modern properly maintained and operated trucks with proper downgrading don’t loose brakes . It is operator error .
45 years of heavy haul and off highway logging on some of the steepest grades in North America and I never came close to over heating my brakes or having a runaway. How you say ? Because I am nothing special I just followed the rules and know my craft !
Don't ever grab another gear while going down a 7% grade, it won't work. 20mph in fifth gear with the Jake on. That's loaded at 105.5k lbs and you will have to tap the breaks occasionally.
Ive heard a few guts say its not the going down hill that makes you shit your pants its when you come back down the run away ramp in reverse with no brakes.
Fortunately, two halves (semis) only make one whole.
I was lucky , I grew up in a truck with my dad , he taught me very young how to drive in the mountains, Iv never smoked the brakes , came very close one time when I lost the trailer brakes, I was way over weight hauling mulch , I was going down a steep grade, between down shifting an using jakes an every bit of road , I got down to the bottom an pulled over the first chance I could , got a mobile mechanic out to fix the trailer breaks , i wasn’t worried about taking myself out as much as I was worried about coming around one of those corners an their being a family their an me going through them , I still thank the lord , I was very lucky that day , I was young back then , after that I changed a lot of things I was doing , that was 20 years ago an still today before I roll I double an triple check everything, I get 150 miles up the road I pull over an check everything again , if I feel something isn’t right , it’s being checked out before I roll , especially if it has something to do with the brakes or the motor or the transmission or my tires,
There’s very few professionals anymore, now days just a bunch of CDL holders.
Going to be a lot more of the law don’t get these unqualified steering wheel holders off the roads!!
Yep. Cali is handing out trucker licenses to anyone with a pulse.
learn how to drive or get TF off the mountain… this shit is getting out of hand.
Scary
I've noticed the automatic trucks don't have a hold button on them so they require peddle brakes. Which leeds to crap like this my old '16 Cascadia did have a manual hold button so I learned what gear was for what speed 7th would hold 80000 lb at 40 mph going down 1039 to us 42 at markland dam going to Ghent KY. Peddle brake to 15 mph for that ramp to us 42
Flip flop gang is down 2 drivers for a whole.
