Every day, I deal with this, like no I need this to stop my heavy ass truck and not need to lock up my breaks cause you want to get 1 more car ahead. And you know when they do eventually take that spot in front they break check ya. Drives me nuts!!

When I pass a tractor trailer I make sure I see him in my rearview plus some before I merge into the right lane. Sometimes when there isn't any traffic I'll wait until I'm a quarter mile in front of the semi before I merge.

As a truck driver myself always keep a distance. Also in a traffic jam . You dont wanna be samwitch between 2 trucks because the one in the rear brakes to late. Good job driver

I feel his pain and frustration. I don't drive a big rig but I do drive a big truck pulling a 24 foot cargo trailer on a daily basis. Little cars always jump in front of me and don't hesitate to slam on brakes to turn and what not. I need that room to stop so I don't kill you. Drive smart ppl.

Unfortunately, I've seen too many truckers get right up on a cars button to close that space to prevent people from coming over, which is much worse.

You are fighting a losing battle man. They think that space is for them even in bumper to bumper traffic. I leave space even if we are going 10 mph and they floor it and take that space just to go 20 feet and slow down
