It can help a new independent operator understand their numbers and manage the back office—but it is not a substitute for an attorney, lender, insurer, FMCSA, or a freight source.

  1. Before buying a truck, ask for help modeling likely revenue and costs for the intended equipment and lanes. Bring real insurance, financing, maintenance and fuel estimates rather than relying on broad averages.
