About the World’s Largest Truckstop
Iowa 80 Truckstop opened in 1964 beside what became I-80 Exit 284 in Walcott, Iowa. It is part of Iowa 80 Group and is known as the World’s Largest Truckstop. The Moon family’s business grew from fuel and food services into a destination with a large trucking-accessories showroom, restaurants and facilities for drivers spending a longer break off the road.

Truck parking and hours
The official truck-parking page lists 900 truck spaces and says the parking area is always open. It describes lighting, security-camera coverage, 24-hour staffing and external security. These are published facilities, not a guarantee that a particular space will be available when you arrive. Follow current signs, staff directions and any temporary traffic arrangements.

Before fueling, confirm carrier approval and the transaction procedure for your assigned card. Use the correct commercial lanes and retain the receipt and scale ticket. For a permit fax, call staff first to coordinate receipt and pickup; the fax number is separate from the service-center fax.
Truck service and roadside help
The truck service center publishes 24-hour operation and road service, with ASE-certified mechanics. Its service list includes tires, alignments, brake and wheel-end work, air conditioning, DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, oil changes, minor engine or reefer work, chrome installation and DPF cleaning/baking.

Showers, laundry, food and shopping
The experience page lists 24 private showers on the third floor, a laundry center, driver den, workout room, library and movie theatre. Shower tickets are purchased at the gift store.
