About This Video

The trucker shortage question is whether trucking has too few available drivers or whether the shortage claim is overstated. The topic is framed as a debate, not a settled fact. Keeping that distinction clear matters when discussing driver availability: a claim about a shortage should not be treated as proof that one exists.

Key Takeaways

  • Treat a shortage claim as a question, not a settled conclusion.
  • Separate claims about driver availability from established facts.

Its never been a shortage of drivers. Its been a shortage of qualified drivers who will put up with the bs for so little pay.

It's always going to be a bunch of trucks at a boarder crossing, and at the point of entry…. When they say it's a shortage of truck drivers, they mean drivers that will work for cheap…. It's 2026 and companies are still trying to pay .35 cents a mile.

The subbed the driver shortage with giving illegals a CDL. And people are getting killed with them on the roads. The states that did it should be liable
