….they aren't a nightmare, they're short. Use your fucking Brain and eyes.

If your GPS takes you to a low bridge don't go under said low bridge….

Yeah, you better know where you're going in Chicago.

I used to do Chicago, never had a problem, always payed attention.

Remember velocity is not a substitute for clearance

  8. @MemphisBBQ640 Avatar

There is such a thing as a Chicago Low Clearance Map. It shows the locations and clearances of all the low bridges in Chicago and the suburbs. Before you go into Chicago, get one: it will save your job.

When I started 30 years ago we used to watch and learn the map you just couldn't jump into a truck and drive everywhere let's go to show you that that is a new driver

Couple of those bridges say 13 6. Theyre sketchy as hell. I stop and get out and hold up traffic just to see if I fit. Dont want to have to live in my car.

  12. @virgilgray Avatar

I have to tell you, I hit one in '94 because it said 13ft 11in. Come to find out, 3 weeks earlier, they had laid 4in of asphalt down and never changed the sign. Who's fault was that?

  13. @ivanbutnaru5604 Avatar

You mean to say drivers nowadays are not paying attention they distracted by their phones or tablets

  14. @gghhh-nb2cf Avatar

  19. @georgespalding7640 Avatar

it's 100% the truck drivers responsibility to know that his load his box will go underneath any bridge on any road. If he has to stop and get out and measure it then that's what he hast to do if he has any doubt in his mind.

DRIVERS!! Look up from your GPS once in a while and this wouldn't happen. And get your damn foot off the dash!!!

    So are yer English!

  25. @brentjones1765 Avatar

Doesn't matter where the bridge is. If you clip it, you should not be driving a truck.🤤

  26. @jj1595 Avatar

We use to run mirror mount antennas 14ft high to chk

  27. @RT_Savage Avatar

Open a fucking atlas and check your routes… god damn flip flopper activities

  28. @belldn3 Avatar

New York and Chicago. They could repave the streets and lower them, increasing the bridge height but they won't.
