It’s cuz the left lane is wider and the edges can support more weight. Ur doing everything right but I personally would go 60 just to kinda stay with the flow of traffic and not impede traffic around u. I’m a driver to and Iv worked on the highway also and as long as your not literally within 5 feet of a worker speeding ur fine.
No you stay in lane that it says to be don't worry about the stupid drivers
Get in the right lane!!!
Definitely dont impede as long as your with the flow your good
I would be pissed if some dumbass in a semi was going 55 in the left lane
You do you..let them get a ticket
Quit whinging & dry snitching and drive the truck
Stay in the left lane. I've been trucking for 31 years. There are more idiots behind the wheel now than ever before! Let the fools be fools! You be that one who obeys the law!
steering wheel holder as… whinner… move your ass..DRIVER just go with the flow..
Exactly what you're doing if you were told left at 55 then that is what you do
You can thank government overreach (FMCSA) hours of service for them desperately trying to get the most miles in a day for that. That is the problem Mr. Goody two shoes. Mind your business and stay in your lane.
If you don’t know you shouldn’t be driving a truck.
Don't the stupidity of others rub off on you. Just keep doing what you're supposed to do.
They want trucks on the left cause they don’t want 80,000lbs drifting off the shoulder or beating down the road edge where they don’t compact and build up as solid as the regular lanes of travel, also truckers can gauge where the median wall is better and hug it closer rather then, again, drifting too far right and the tires coming off the road at 60+ miles an hour, the signs are there for a reason, if obeyed everyone is safer!
Go with the flow
You should flow with the traffic.
Stay in the left lane. The reason I see this most often is that the right lane isn't up to handling the weight of rolling steel. Usually it is berm material.
Its because…… literally no ones knows anything..
You do you. If they want to speed around you in the right, let em. You're doing it right.
I55 in Illinois
Rarely do people observe speed limits.
I have been driving for 40 years …..your doing great, your were I would be
I have been driving for 40 years …..your doing great, your were I would be
You're still in a construction zone hence all the cones… The sign said left lane stay in the left lane and it doesn't matter if other people are speeding you shouldn't
So true … I drive 476 and same . I follow the law and signs not those other guys.
Stay in the left, your correct, more dangerous when vehicles enter onto freeway entrance, why signs say truck's left lane 😊
God I love the sound of a jake brake
Hey rookie
Most construction zones tell you this
F those other idiots
Who cares
I always run slower than traffic so I don’t worry about passing anybody
Much safer
Besides if they are passing you and stuff happens it’s their fault
That's how we do it in South Africa,, you keep left and pass right
You did nothing wrong man. Some drivers will pass you no matter what. You’re a good guy and driver man. High respect to you sir and thank you for your service
They some ignorant mf out there bro
In most states highway patrol let's you do 10 over the posted speed limit.
Just follow the traffic control devices, you’ll be fine, don’t worry about those chuckleheads
Welcome to trucking newbie
They put these signs up to keep the truckers closer to the active construction. The dummies who are most likely to speed and lose control and kill somebody will generally avoid the lane semis are in, so it makes construction workers safer! And don’t worry about others, driving the speed you feel is required and safest is top priority.
I'm glad some drivers are still following the rules and being safe… serious question, why are there so many trucks in the left lanes when there isn't a sign telling them to be
Because you drive 54 in 55, could do 59 to 65. Starting a video to complain about those things that you know.
