There is something relaxing about being alone while working. I've only ever worked in an office but I liked the quiet and the absence of people moving about so much that I asked my boss if I could start two hours earlier than expected if the day's workload allowed for it. I had great colleagues, I just loved the sensory stillness. It's the same with driving with little to no traffic around. Of course I wouldn't want to meet someone UNPLEASANT when I'm otherwise alone, but that has been rare enough in my life.
Questions out of curiosity:
This is just a fun way for me to learn more English and learn about trucking as a job, but I realise that's not what YOU are here for. Ha, ha, ha! Just ignore any questions you don't care for, or even tell me to not ask more if my questions annoys you. I'm fine and happy regardless.
😄
So…
I don't think I've ever seen such a truck (is that the right word?) with a door on the back, only with doors on the sides. How common is that? I've only seen it on tractors for farms.
I seem to recall that a car like this can be called a "tractor" too. Is that correct?
I'm guessing a door on the back wouldn't work as well if the truck has a cabin or a… do you call it a "flatbed" in English (like an open "box" such as you might transport sand or gravel in?
😎🤘 Preach brother!
I was a cubicle jockey for… About a year. Couldn't handle it. 😅Too many visits to HR…
As much as I really need enjoy socializing with other humans, I also just enjoy being alone with my thoughts for a while.
Trust me, ain't nobody really prepared to handle all THAT sh*t…. LOL
