About This Video

This CompanyDriver.tv video focuses on day one as a company driver and asks why the experience feels so hard. It offers a first-day perspective on company driving, a topic that can interest people considering the job as well as drivers curious about someone else’s start. Rather than presenting the subject as a broad guide to trucking, the framing stays close to the challenge of getting through the first day. That makes it relevant to searches about starting as a company driver, what a first day on the job can feel like, and how drivers make sense of a difficult beginning.

What Happened

The video centers on one situation: the first day of being a company driver. The question of why it is so hard sets up the experience as a challenge, but the focus remains on that day rather than a detailed account of every part of company driving. The host also invites viewers to leave a comment and say whether he is doing this right. That makes audience feedback part of the conversation around the video. The framing is an open question, not a stated explanation of what caused the difficulty. For viewers, the subject is therefore a day-one check-in and an invitation to respond, rather than a step-by-step account of specific tasks or events.

My Take as a Company Driver

I think a rough first-day question is worth talking through, but I wouldn’t use one day by itself to judge the whole company-driver job. As a driver, I’d want to pin down what felt hard before deciding what the experience means. Was it the work, the adjustment, or something else? That’s the kind of detail that makes a driver conversation useful. I’d keep the comments practical and compare perspectives without assuming every driver starts the same way. One person’s first-day reaction can open the discussion; it doesn’t have to settle the question for everybody.

Key Takeaways

  • The subject is a first day as a company driver.
  • The video frames the day around the question of why it feels hard.
  • The host invites viewers to comment with feedback.
  • A first-day question can prompt discussion without serving as a verdict on the entire job.

The first thing you do is you get yourself some type of portable toilet on that truck and double bag the trash bags. Get your one gallon or two gallon bucket put it back on your rack and that's where you deposit the waste. I promise you when it's 15° outside and the truck yard bathroom is 150 yards away in that truck stop food starts bubbling you will thank me. It's not a question of if it's a question of when😂
Then you get yourself reasonably priced leaf blower to clean out the trailer hell of a lot faster and better than a broom. Use Google so you can get an aerial view of exactly where you're going to deliver at and understand how you're going to get in and out and how you need to set up to hit the dock. Don't be afraid to call the shippers or receivers and find out if they allow you to park on the premises or where the nearest parking is. And always ask them if they will accept you early. When some jackass leaves you a trailer with a tire that is way too worn-out you report that back to safety. You got too many clowns that don't want to stop and get it repaired and you shouldn't have to be the guy eating it because the clown before you did not do his job. Last but not least if it's too dangerous for you to drive don't do it. If dispatch says everybody else is making it after you said it was too dangerous to drive don't fall for that. You screw up they're going to put that on your back everybody else is doing it is just a trick to get you moving. No trucking company gives a s*** about you no matter what they say you screw up and they will drop you like you have 12 different venereal diseases😂
And when you're driving at night out in the big Western States and it's dark as it can be you're going to see things in the sky sometimes you can't explain. Meteors asteroids comets those are obvious but when you see one make a ninety-degree turn you know something is up. Get a CB and keep that thing on you'll actually learn how to listen to it in the background while you hear the radio. And always have enough food and water on that truck for 3 days.
Now don't get stupid like I did and in the dead of the night after having diarrhea you confuse the wet wipes with the Lysol alcohol wipes if you do you will know what a burning Ring of Fire feels like😂 good luck brother
