Well ,when The old Sarge use to Drive for blue &Gray ,back in 1967. ,we didnt have no Diesel emissions fluid BS, i drove a good old white freightliner, with two. Gearshifts had double clutch and had no DEF to deal with.

Our method is get them deleted and not buy any more def. We're in canada and can do this so far. The money these emission systems cost to upkeep is scandalous

I have a 97 W900L and a 2017 Western Star. When I got the WS I would buy DEF every other fill up or so. Got into Columbus, Ohio when it was like -30° and the DEF pump cracked. Nursed it to Tehachapi and it eventually went into full derate. Had it towed into Bakersfield $$$$$. The next load, I picked in Yuma, AZ to Portland Maine. Got to Maine and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Called a buddy in Tyler and had a DEFecomy done on it. Fuel mileage went up 2 mpg and about 40 more horsepower. Haven't had an issue since. Shhhh lol So as far as fueling up with DEF 🤷‍♀️
