About This Video

“Highway bowling” is a playful trucking-related phrase, but it doesn’t establish what happened on the road. Whatever the moment behind it, drivers benefit from keeping their attention on traffic and changing road conditions, leaving room to react, and not treating a dramatic-sounding label as a literal account.

Key Takeaways

  • Stay alert to changing road conditions.
  • Leave room to react to traffic.

I did the same thing all across south dakota when i was 17 on wheat harvest permits tell us where we had to go. The works would yell n cuss thro shit flip me off. Wasnt shit i coukd do about it. Jersey barrier one side or barrels n cones on the other. Not much to decide about. .

  3. @SomebodyStrolling Avatar

    These are all permit violators.
None of them called for Daily Lane Closures

  4. @jamesturncliff5960 Avatar

They got to make allowances for the odd wide load my sister might be driving down the road😊

  5. @meyatetana2973 Avatar

Honestly better hitting a cone, then damaging the equipment and that concrete barrier.

So the roads are being fixed??

could be printed for the most part. Attach a 2’x4’ at an angle and it would push them all to the side….

I saw wind from a storm blow them away from the lane in Utah. I thought I heard Let there be room come from the stormclouds

Blue states would put cameras there and charge $100 for each fall cone😂

  16. @Sukit321 Avatar

Now I know culprits behind fallen cones😂

  17. @chrissmith8019 Avatar

Supposed to do every 4th barrel that way they have to get out of truck 1000 times

  18. @fdsfds7339 Avatar

I had to hit a couple cones last week when I was getting on the highway and an extra wide load was right in my shit

  19. @Lester-r1d Avatar

Rather apparent someone at DOT has their head in a very deep dark hole as they do the routing for these loads !!!!!

5th truck looks like he's on I 94 in North Dakota

  21. @MVPisME383 Avatar

I pull 12 wide wilscot office units and they do put them cones away too tight

  22. @SamsonianD Avatar

I'd be dieing if I witnessed this personally

  23. @krisdrinkwine6045 Avatar

Job security, someone has to go put them back up!!!👍👍👍👍

  24. @JamahlEvans Avatar

YESSIR!! Our team runs bridge beams on dolly trailers. Those cones catch hell when they’re too tight- especially on the night runs 😂!!

  25. @tonymcmenim Avatar

Yes it's silly to put cones right on the line, nobody would build a wall or a fence there, they would set then back a couple of feet, at least the height of a cone.

  29. @hookin1 Avatar

My regular escort kept a running tally on the total amount of cones and barrels we took out.

  30. @TheNarrowPath84 Avatar

Looks like someone didn’t call ahead 😂

  31. @tomforeman4976 Avatar

Yea the permit people also send the wind generators down farm to market roads also

  32. @philipberard867 Avatar

  33. @oilsands69 Avatar

Get the fuck out of the way!! Wide load coming true!!

  34. @psinclairjr Avatar

Every time highway cones and orange barrels are knocked around an Angel gets it wings

  35. @coywolfproductions7056 Avatar

So what happens is, do you get a permit the permit is right you are on the right route, but the road crew has put the barrels on the wrong side of the zippers to give them more space for themselves, the barrels are supposed to be on the other side lol.

  36. @wbforsure2104 Avatar

I just know the escorts are laughing their asses off!

  37. @FlatEarthTrucker Avatar

These lazy construction crews never take down signs warning of a lane closure anymore, so screw 'em.

  38. @Gremlin14112 Avatar

And, that's why every road should have breakdown lanes, if they did, these would not be hitting all the cones…

  39. @TeutonsReign Avatar

God I fuckin love seeing this. They always put these fuckers across the middle into the driving lane and fuck off

  40. @humbledbyforce Avatar

This is a dream of mine.

  41. @greyelkwilliams Avatar

There are signs long before the construction zone that tell you what the lane width is. Which means these are all drivers who either ignored all road signs or have no clue what their load dimensions are. Either way they shouldn't be in those trucks.

  42. @vcozma66 Avatar

Aren't over size supposed to exit?

  43. @BeauxBuford Avatar

Oversized load exit 3 miles back. C×cksucker super truckers
