So contracted drivers have additional deductions to their paychecks? What like board and expenses when you aren't using the truck for work. I would presume that drivers basically just drive the truck home to take time off for family. So what, You guys can't make profit unless you are working as much as they will let you? I'm confused. If the return on investment is based on how much money you get to keep after expenses, how are you guys making enough to justify your career path. Is it that your income allows you to take more loans and longer lines of credit to keep borrowing? That sounds like a fun way to burnout. I can't imagine working as a contractor for a company as a driver and not being allotted a stipend for meal and toiletries if the truck had a cab, and for a motel stipend if it didn't have one.
