You should really take off the right fuel cap also to stabilize the fuel system. Then repair the fuel splitter valves on top of trans to fix the problem
The industry quit using cross over fuel lines in the 90's and i am pretty sure the D.O.T. made it a law for no fuel lines lower than the bottom of fuel tanks in the early 2000's -
Supposed to tinkle in a gatorade bottle… crazy.

The new trucks are really sensitive about what fuel they use. What’s happening here is if the truck is reject the fuel, it blows air back through the line to clean the bad fuel out, making the truck throw up,just like other living creatures when they get bad food in them.

Had that happen on a 379 years ago while I was sleepin. Woke up n looked outside n thought dang someone is leakin fuel everywhere….I was that someone. Still don't know what caused it
