So is that how it works now? We miss an exit and just stop on the freeway???? Pretty certain that had he caused an accident any by stopping like that in a non emergency, he would be found at fault, rightfully so.
Do not stop on the freeway! Especially to jump over several lanes to exit late. This is crazy the amount of people passively accepting this is ok behavior on a freeway. 😅

Out west if you miss an exit might be 20 mins til the next one, but in the city like this there isn't an excuse to do this, ever. Just re-route or double back. This is incredibly stupid. One drunk driver or unfocused motorist and you (and them) are done.

The NJ Garden State Parkway is only for cars as the sign says. That truck will hit overpasses and cause lots of kaos. So he had no choice but to exit.

Losing a few seconds of time to show a modicum of courtesy is a small sacrifice to make to help another driver in need. And you'll still make your destination on time.

Who knows, sometimes if you miss an exit it could be miles before you can turn around. There are good people. That was super dangerous but they all made it happen.
