As long as you’re in the right lane I never have any problem with trucks doing the speed limit or a little under, it’s when they go to “pass” another truck at ONE mph faster than the one they’re passing and they hold up dozens of cars in the passing lane taking 5 minutes to pass one other truck.

You know to follow the posted speed limit sign. That's what the cops will tell you.

The greatest piece of advice I ever got, it came from my lead driver but it applies to so much more in my life. Do your own driving, do not let the idiots around you control how you operate this vehicle.

I do 5 under and if narrow I turn on my flashers. 80,000 lb truck does not stop on a dime.

    That's doing the right thing

    It's 45mph if there's workers present… Ignore the 60mph sign!
    45 miles per hour!!

Your doing the right thing buddy 👍🏻

I do the same in my POV. Let the lawbreakers get the tickets. Speed limits in other countries are enforced. In the US they are not. Drive 2 miles over the speed limit in Australia and see what happens.

    As he’s going 7 under

You're right and if I'm behind you I'm fine with it. Safety first 👍.

You drive how you feel comfortable.

But it is careful to do that anywhere that slow vehicles will pull out in front of you all of drivers need to look forward for about 10 to 15 seconds

As a fellow truck driver I piss people off all day… and by that I mean doing the speed limit and like yourself in school and construction zones I usually go slower. We drive big, heavy and slow moving vehicles that require more time and attention than your normal vehicle. That said people please don’t hang around a tractor trailer or pass right in front. If it wasn’t for us you wouldn’t have ANY of your goods!!

As a driver I don’t like those things but they save me and spy on me at the same time I don’t mind a outward pointed camera I will not have a forward facing camera it will be taped up

Just don't forget to floor it once you get past the Construction Zone.

Anyone with a commercial drivers license is held to a higher standard than “regular” drivers. So, no, you are not doing anything wrong.
I applaud you for being conscientious. 👏

Go to California and drive 55 all day long.
