You have to remember to drop some gears

Na man truck drivers understand weight. People who hold a steering wheel don't 😉

You don't stop until there's a fire engine. On the side of the road, waiting for you. The reason for that ISIS, yeah, they're hot, but you're keeping the oxygen from igniting them. The minute you stop, they're gonna get hot enough. And they'll ignite and burst into flames. That's a 911 call, saying, I need a fire engine to catch me or get ahead of me before I stop.

Are driverless trucks required to have a fire extinguisher , and if so who puts out the fire ??

Now he'll be parked on that shoulder for 30 min to an hour…had he just gone down slower with jakes doing all the braking, one can drive down a mountain safely without ever touching brakes. Depending on your weight and grade of mountain usually 8th gear full jakes 6% downgrade. I been down a 9% once sign at the top said use 1st gear….they weren't lying. Tried 2nd…nope…had to stop and put it back in 1st gear.

The fire extinguisher will not put the breaks out.
They are so hot the fire will flair right back up…
Water is the best thing for a break fire …carry a couple cases and try to cool both drum and break pads.
    While calling 911

You see the grade sign greater than 8% grade, the yellow diamond sign. He can't stop, His brakes are burning up. He must be loaded over 80,000lbs.

Owner operator for sure that driver is saving his trucks brakes by using the trailers brakes he is probably on a drag and drop load never to see that trailer again 😂😂😂

This happened in my town once. As soon as he stopped the truck lit up. He waited til he was in a safe area and the fire trucks were waiting for him. Smart.
