My dispatcher checks on me every morning, never thought someone could sit that long without anyone checking on their wellbeing.

24years otr coast to coast. This is more common than you'd think, drivers dying in on the job in their trucks this was my greatest concern dying thousands of miles from home

It's a wonder that this doesn't happen more often. I have seen so many drivers who were morbidly obese, living on junk food and tobacco. The scary part is that there are probably lots of truck drivers out there who have undiagnosed heart problems. Those DOT physicals are not particularly thorough. The only way they catch a health problem is if it's obvious. There are many conditions that are not obvious, but will hit when you least expect it. A lot of people go to sleep and never wake up. Some people will look and seem fine, then they have a stroke from out of nowhere.
