This is a typical fire started under the dash by the fuse box. As these things age the wires pound and get chaffed. When you start them up they have finally had enough. Cant see why the manufacturer cant build it better. They have known for years there is a problem.

I can honestly say that this has happened to me before. Woke up to my truck on fire in the middle of the night. One of the worst nights of my life.

Important in there? Uhhh, his insurance papers so he knows who to call after his rig is done frying? That's a shame, trucking industry so bad a guy has to burn his own rig down while hoping to get enough views that it will pay the balance he owes on his rig that the insurance won't cover so he can get a fresh start and be able to find something else to do.
That water was about as effective as pissing in an empty pool, hoping to fill it up. I feel badly for the owner of the truck, watching his livelihood and much of what he owns go up in smoke. I hope he has good insurance and nothing irreplaceable in there.
