Truck driver here at alot of shippers and truck yards there is a plow that you drive through before you leave and if it comes of and hits someone you are liable for it, and also you can deny the load.

It’s illegal to drive with snow on your car in CT

It’s the drivers responsibility to remove the snow or don’t drive. It doesn’t make it safe to drive just because you can’t get up there to clean it and just say oh well. It’s part of the job you chose to do so do it well and do it safely

Yea is a easy removal if your at the terminal and ur company has the snow removal bar but if ur hauling long haul how the hell do u think the driver getting up on the trailer I got 31 yrs doing this over that time I've done it 2 times

I have been driving trucks all my life. And still am for 34 years, and I have driven them with snow on top. Just like this, there is no way that you can take. That might snow off. So I just drive it when somebody
Gets hit with it flying off. That means that they were not paying attention. They were following way too close. They could have even got in the other lane. So it is 100% the person behind them is there a fault

How about the people driving behind just give him distance 🤷

If its illegal then the state needs to provide trailer snow removal bars along public roads, am i really just paying taxes so govt officials and workers can launder my money?

If there is one close by, I have gone to blue beacon and had them spray it off, but that is not always the case if your out in the middle of nowhere, at a warehouse perhaps a forklift could get some of it, if they can go outside with a forklift and forklift driver willing to knock it off with there forks

In Pennsylvania you will get pulled over and ticketed. I picked up a preloaded trailer at M&M Mars in Hazleton Pa. and there was a chunk of ice and snow on the roof that had slid to the back and I got pulled over. I took it to the TA at Buckhorn and they broke it up in the shop for me.
