I don’t understand that considering I’ve driven from Chicago to Las Vegas and was blinded by a truck and trailer combo with over 150 light on it 😂 you could see him for F@CKING miles I finally passed him only to have to pee in the middle of the desert got off on a ramp peed 10 ft of the ramp got back in only to be back behind him for another 15 mi😂 🤣🤷♂️
Wow that is pretty stupid. My old trailer had 11 brake lights and 4 blinkers each side because I would rather basically light up the road behind me so car drivers take notice.

Required means you need at least that many. You can add but not subtract. All must work, if one you added doesn't not work you can receive a ticket even if it's not a Required light.
