Trucking hasnt changed . Not in the 60+ years on this planet ive been here. Its always been a pencil twizzlers festival of madness. There was talk of "old school"( worn out) and newbreed (Underinformed) even then . Secretly ,each of us knew ,in our heart of hearts that we were each a little of both although sometimes a real squirrel gets loose and that is always entertaining.
The trick to it is to understand that trucks dont make money they cost money. You must understand this or you will be short on money for the rest of your days.
Every single trucking company is a float /ponzi/ eternal money generator go broke machine. Once you understand what you are up against a path becomes quite clear. You must try with every fiber of your being to make it work all the while knowing a hundred percent, the math does not work . There simply is not a way to do it successfully long term because the insurance risk is set at death and dismemberment. Your competition is allowed to cheat and steal from everyone because they are owned by overseas mafias and cartels.
Your path is to learn to fail. to gain an advantage without breaking the law and getting doctors lawyers and government people to all swear to the same thing at the same time.
Ive always known i would be required to cripple myself to stay alive. Those were lessons i learned early . In grade school and high school. Injury or death those are your only two ways to success. There are eight billion plus people on this planet. We are worth nothing to the USA .
Admittedly ,its a little like the people who chop off a toe to escape hard labor but dont worry , it wont be that bad. You will be surrounded by the incompetent. One of them will be glad to crippple you without losing so much as a moments sleep over it. You wont have to do it to yourself. It will just happen and you will either get a check or a casket. Thats the deal. So study hard. Think of something to do and do it. Good luck and heres to hoping your injury isnt so life altering that someone else gets tasked with wiping your fanny for the rest of your life. May God if there even is one have mercy on you. (This might actually be Hades. If it were Hades it would certainly make more sense)
If i didnt have severe brain damage i never would have picked trucking as my career choice. Its obvious im r******d. Nobody else would have put up with the b.s. i put up with unless they were r******d. Im r******d. I get a check . Not for being r******d , but its an angle i may yet exploit.
So heres to you. If you are still reading this then you are probably r******d too. Maybe you can get a check? Never fill out the paperwork yourself. Always use lawyers and stay out of their way.
