It's not lazy it's the right way to do it

  7. @Texastrucker-e2c Avatar

    no where is that lazy

  8. @drizzyqurkel Avatar

I'd still be mad at whoever dropped that trailer though

  9. @RBFR01 Avatar

    Raise the trailer legs?

  10. @pdt9447 Avatar

You don’t need the wooden block to raise the trailer…so people knows. Once raised, lower your landing gear, lower your suspension and reverse and the 5th wheel ramp will slide under the apron…easily enough.

Dont these trailers have their own legs to raise and lower the nose?
Im confused why he needs to do that, worked with truckers for 8 years and they just raise it a few inches if they have to and then hook it up.

  13. @stewartfenton7660 Avatar

This video is aimed at people that understand what he's doing and why. Yes I do understand. But many won't.

  14. @CarlOuellette Avatar

    Been there, done that

  15. @jasonberger3364 Avatar

Well sometimes the jacks are garbage.

  16. @carylawson-le7og Avatar

That's not lazy. That's ingenious, you're obviously not a truck driver, so you don't understand if you had to do the slow crank of shame, you'd understand how 4 before block is your best friend when this happens, but since you know nothing about trucking you want to get on. Here and sound intelligent. You sound like a dumb a** to the trucking world.

  17. @carylawson-le7og Avatar

Then my last comment.I tried to get voice text to say 4 / 4 block. But it said four before , so that tells you intelligent , a
Ai & voice text , really are

I'm 71 years old, I'm retired now.I drove 48 years, and my Grandpa showed me this way back in the beginning. This trick's been around a long time, but it's gotten lost by the flip-flop.Designers shorts tank top dick , sucking , truck driver generation , we have now. When I was trucking , if you walked in a shipper or receiver wearing anything other than work shoes , they told you to go away and come back when you're dressed with your work boots, long pants, long sleeves and a safety vest.If you want to get loaded or unloaded , it's up to you , that's what they would tell you and the next time I see somebody with their shades pulled sitting in front of the fuel pumps sleeping, I'm gonna beat the windows right out of that m***********, I will go to jail to prove a point for the rest of my trucking brothers and sisters, I've been to jail before I'm sure. I'll be there again, but I'm tired of waiting 55 to 65 minutes to get some diesel fuel while you're sleeping in front of the pump, you stupid m************. And I guarantee you're one of these that wears flip-flops, I know you are Because no self respecting truck driver would do that to his fellow worker. But then the key words of my last sentence was self-respecting.I should understand you all don't respect yourself. So why would you respect others?I should have thought of that. And if you read the motor carrier safety rules handbook , it will tell you you are not allowed to drive a commercial vehicle with any type of open toed shoes , you must have work shoes on. What if you have an emergency situation where you have to hit the brakes?Real quick and you lift your foot up to put on a brake in the back of your flip flop gets hung up in your seat frame who you gonna run over then d**** and how you gonna explain it , oh I forgot you can't explain it cuz you can't read speak or write english , you towel headed waste of flesh

  19. @carylawson-le7og Avatar

Who's that more on in the comment? If you up above here, calling us knuckle dragers, what's he trying to say and who's he trying to say it about, come on, buddies, give us another comment and respond to what I just said.If you've got a pair.

  24. @oscarmiranda7742 Avatar

    😂😂😂😂
There’s a reason why I invented $350.00 to install ramps on my trucks so don’t have to worry about damaging my tires.
It looks like he does this all the time because he has a piece of wood ready

  25. @Matthew-s2s3l Avatar

Am I the only one sees all these weird lies from people who claim to be truck drivers? Like are their lives that boring? You lie about being a truck driver through YouTube comments just to make you feel like a man? They’re terrible lies too. Maybe it’s teenagers just vicariously living through youtube? It’s weird. They’re obviously lies, from people who obviously don’t work in trucking. And then someone else will chime in with a lie, and then they’re lying to each other about trucking. Do they believe each other? I cannot be the only one seeing this trend?😂

  26. @153RKman Avatar

I thought 💭 might of lower the landing gear after raising the trailer with the block to keep the trailer steady..?

But I guess the empty or loaded trailer was balanced?

  27. @kingjay6401 Avatar

Once you hear the click, you're clear

  28. @christianmendez8299 Avatar

Forgot to show the part when he lowered the landing gear.

  33. @jamesrincker3048 Avatar

Work smarter, not harder. 💪 Some people call it lazy because they didn’t think of the easy way to do it first.

  34. @tomstahl2437 Avatar

Running local I always carry a 4 x 6. If you come up on a low trailer with a bad landing gear crank and the trailer is actually loaded it can be impossible to crank the damn thing up.

In the description he left out the part where you crank the landing gear down. You use the tractor and frame with the block to raise it, then you spin the landing gear down. Then you drop and pull your board out, then get up under it.

The downside is eventually that board will be covered with a lot of grease and you got to have a place to put it where it doesn't get grease in your gear.

One more downside is a lot of big companies don't let the drivers have control over the airbags cuz their drivers drive across country with the airbags down and trash them. Without a airbag switch this ain't going to happen.

  35. @RonDavis-hy2no Avatar

The driver that dropped the trailer too low is the LAZY one this driver done the smart thing evidently he has come across this situation in the past

  36. @dinorains9145 Avatar

You can tell this is an experienced truck driver

  37. @ВадимСвистунов-г6е Avatar

интересно , а лап у прицепа нет? и как другой тягач выехал из под прицепа?

  38. @rayewing1481 Avatar

The lazy trucker was the a Ho who dropped it. Low didn't want to wind the landing gear down the height that should have been

  39. @hugohc120 Avatar

  40. @MontyAultman Avatar

Why didn't you drop your air first?

  41. @williamhancock6489 Avatar

That's more work.than cranking the trailer higher
