About This Video

Smoking among truck drivers is the subject of this video, framed by a pointed question: why would anyone want truckers to smoke, and why would it matter? That makes the topic relevant to drivers who encounter opinions or expectations around smoking and want to think through the issue for themselves. The title raises a question rather than establishing that truckers are being told to smoke. This post keeps the focus on that question and the trucking context, without treating the wording as proof of a broader claim. It is a starting point for a conversation about smoking and life on the road.

What Happened

The video is presented around the question, “They want us Truckers to smoke. Why's is it so important?” The wording puts truckers and smoking at the center, while leaving the question of who “they” refers to open. The title’s phrasing is provocative, but it should be read as a question, not as confirmation that a particular person or group is urging drivers to smoke. The accompanying description invites viewers to leave a comment so the creator can hear whether the video is working for them. That gives viewers a clear way to respond to the topic or the presentation. The conversation is about smoking in a trucking context; the title itself does not establish a specific event, policy, or reason behind the question.

My Take as a Company Driver

I’d treat that title as a question to think about, not a reason to assume somebody is actually telling drivers to smoke. As a driver, I’d want the reason spelled out before accepting that smoking is somehow important to trucking. If someone raises the subject, I’d ask what they mean and make my own call rather than letting a provocative line decide it for me. That’s where I’d stop: keep the discussion grounded in what’s actually being said, and don’t turn a question into a claim about all truckers. If you have a view on the topic or the video, leave a comment and explain what you think.

Everyone thinks our country got its start with crops like cotton and the discovery of gold. The truth is, filthy tobacco fuelled slavery and many other horrible things. Hollywood is fuelled by tobacco.

Don’t sweat it I think, as time goes on more and more Americans are quitting smoking.
If you’re a smoker, try quitting, at least try and stop long enough to see and feel the benefit’s of quitting.
Start a savings account with the money you spend on cigarettes. Depending on how much you smoke you’re talking 250-350+ a month.
    Much respect. 😊
