I'm getting a bit tired of the "Driverless truck" posts. This is not one of them this is a calibration rig. The day the DOT lets driverless AI trucks down the road and it kills a bunch of kids in a a schoolbus then we will see how long that nonsense lasts!

Was there a driver in the vehicle? Could be an automated vehicle.

Yeah, that’s a calibration vehicle and it’s gonna make frequent lane changes

    It's a TEST vehicle

Carry a hand full of old rusty bolts and nuts, in your console, go around and gift the bastards some..😊. I'd rather give than receive

Trains could end them to if only we were smart enough to keep the tracks going instead of needing 10s of thousands of semis and trailers that all require insurance, a driver, maintenance, fuel, etc when 1 train could do the job of 50 truckers if not more and at a substantially lower fuel consumption. 😂

That man isn’t wrong. That stuff should be shit by train not by truck same with steel rolls. They should all be shipped by train not by truck.

It is a standard used to check the calibration of commercial scales. On close inspection, you will see a site glass tube on all of liquid tanks on the vehicle, so then know exactly how heavey it is at any time.

The worst thing they have ever done to trucking. Computers. First on the engines, now in the seats as drivers. Never did like Computers. I really wish we could go back to when we didn't have them. Even before I started driving in 85, before I was licensed with a cdl. I was raised on a farm driving anything with wheels and a steering wheel. My grand parents owned a feed store and sold farm tractors I got to drive daily to move outside for display, and back inside at night. They also owned a small trucking company 4 trucks. So if it moved at 8 yrs old I could drive it. Now Computers do it. They don't need hard working drivers. Only problem is when truck breaks down, that's an issue with these steering wheel holders now a. Days also. They don't know how to fix a truck to get it into town. Or tell them what's actually whats wrong with it. At least a man knows when a tire is flat or a trailer bearing goes out. That Computer, will get burnt down.

Even this dickhead put straps outside the rubrail. smh.

Oh snap, I heard of these. They calibrate your brakes, when they cut you off, I mean, change lanes, lol.

That being said, it makes the most sense to me, that this would help calibrate the scales at the coops. (Inspection stations).

  22. @mikewhittaker-t7y Avatar

Maybe he should calibrate those airbags first 🤔

  23. @amyprz Avatar

Johnny driveshaft here. Used to check the scales at the weigh stations or the thickness of your car paint when you run your car into him . Car vs gas tanker in nj. It's a jeep thing. Jeep caused it . All that gas up in smoke. John

They look like cement blocks at 40 k lbs. Anyone the truck in nc. Just ran into aline of stopped traffic. Maybe driverless trucks are better. They won't pee on the tires at truck stops . John
