About This Video

A pre-trip inspection is the focus of this CompanyDriver.tv video, which presents a professional carrying out a thorough check before a truck heads out. For drivers, taking time to look over a truck before a trip is part of knowing what condition the equipment is in before getting on the road. The video is framed as a chance to watch and learn from a professional, making it relevant to drivers building their inspection habits as well as people curious about trucking. The emphasis is on the inspection itself: paying attention before departure rather than treating the pre-trip as an afterthought. It offers a driver-focused look at a routine part of operating a truck.

What Happened

The video centers on a professional performing a pre-trip inspection. Its presentation invites viewers to follow along and learn from the way the inspection is carried out. The focus is the before-the-trip check, rather than a reported collision, roadside incident, or enforcement stop. The inspection is described as especially thorough, so the subject is a careful look over the truck before driving. For someone learning about trucking, that makes the video a chance to observe a professional approach a familiar part of the job. For an experienced driver, it keeps attention on the routine of checking equipment before setting out. The topic is straightforward: a professional pre-trip inspection, presented as something viewers can watch and learn from.

My Take as a Company Driver

As a driver, I want a pre-trip to be more than something I rush through just to get rolling. A professional going through an inspection gives you a chance to pay attention to the process and think about your own routine. I can’t judge every check from a headline alone, but the idea of taking a thorough look before heading out makes sense. If you’re newer, watch with the question, “What can I learn from how this person approaches the truck?” If you’ve been driving a while, it’s still worth checking whether you’re giving the inspection the time and attention it deserves.

  • The video focuses on a professional pre-trip inspection.
  • The inspection is presented as thorough.
  • The video is intended to let viewers watch and learn from the inspection.

Sad that someone like this shows such a horrible pre-trip inspection. This is of course I saved to show what is unprofessional and unacceptable to my trainees. If you tried this on board with me you would have an automatic fail and you would be going home.
To anyone watching this who might be interested in becoming a professional truck driver do not do anything this guy teaches. The worst I have ever seen.

Didnt have pre trip lights going.
Didnt open the trailer doors to ensure no passeger.
Didnt look under trailer to ensure no passengers.
