It happens but there are methods (dock locks and dock lights and weel chocks/locks and bay door guards) and procedures (key boxes) to prevent this.
That said; how the driver didn't notice a lift driving into the back, as much as that shakes the truck, I don't understand.
The number one reason for wheel chocks. I was at a receivers dock and a fellow rookie driver pulled out as the forklift was entering the container and the forklift nosedived off the dock. Luckily the forklift operator didn't get hurt. Both forks cleanly broke off at the bend. It was an inside dock and made a hell of a racket. The driver was an older woman a few months out of driving school. I'd been driving about 10 years and all the young drivers started calling me " old man" and I was only 32 at the time. They would hunt me down for advice because they knew I wouldn't yank their chain or belittle them. We had some older drivers that did road work but didn't make much more money than I did. The road guys just couldn't stand the games played in the office. I had a friends + a girlfriend + a pet dog. Pet policy's didn't exist in those days.
My cousin drove a lift truck off a loading dock, but damn, 😐
One more question… Where was the operator's seatbelt?
Is he dead
In my 15 years driving truck, I have never done that.
This is why some distribution centers make the driver drop trailer and pull away
No excuse , in that tractor you can feel it if 15000 pounds goes in your trailer ! No idea how that driver could have done that 🤯! Exept for just being inattentive !
Watch close/ broke the forks right off that forklift
Just stop with your shitty fucking commentary
Whenever I am being loaded or unloaded I can notice when the frokloft is entering and exiting the truck it moves a lot. there is no excuse 🤦🏻♂️ I'm sure that man is from India They surprise with their great driving skills.
That is exactly how my best friend died.
Dam
30 years no
Nasty ragdoll ride he took. I loaded lots of trucks with a forklift, fortunately i never had that happen.
This is why we always wear a seatbelt, children
Never unload with the driver in the truck. I've seen 3 accidents with one death.
38 yrs, never im not to lazy to get out of the truck,10-1 hes was wearing flip flops
My company strictly prohibits driving the loader onto a trailer , that’s what pallet jacks are for
Couldn't that driver hear the noise in his trailer. What was he doing? That thing makes noise….o my .o my
I been driving for 52 years I started in the marines in 1972 it was called a class I then I never seen nothing like this that driver supposed to feel that loader back there it’s no way you can’t that tomotor should have felt this truck moving too👀

G…
et out and look!
Not everyone. Just idiots that don't know what they are doing.
32 years trucking no not everyone has done that
We have not all done this OMG
Not everyone has done this.only dumb drivers.
Always wear your seat belt while operating a forklift safety first
I've been out here 4 million miles I have never pulled away from the dock without checking in 30 years of driving a truck I've never seen this done ever since the new changes and new people or new drivers too lazy to get out and check on the inside what's going on 😅but they sure know how to put those four-way flashers on and ride around real slow😂😂😂😂
He should’ve felt him moving around from the cab to the trailer 🤦🏽🤦🏽😂☠️
This almost happened to me more then once working warehouse almost got into a fight with the driver for pulling out
The driver should have gotten out of his truck and checked first and were there any dock lights. I have never done this in my 30 years of driving
Happened to my guy at work he got paid up the ass same exact scenario.
Do you guys really all do this at least once? You guys aren’t that retarded?
They need to shock the wheels all the time !! That’s the first thing driver needs to do after park .
That truck isn't rolling like it's being pulled more like someone didn't set the brakes and just rolled once the forklift entered.
Most docks now lock the trailer to the dock. Make you pull the air line to the trailer.
Looks like the place in Goodyear that stores the cotton
Drove 24 yrs….dont say we've all done this!!
Worked in a warehouse as a lumper and seen a guy get crushed between the diesel and raised dock it killed him, cut him almost in half
I can’t throw stone here cause I don’t haul box trailers all I run is logging, but god damn
Check for chocks and skid plate are in place properly before driving a jitterbug in the trailer
