I know I've played around with the new trucks if its got the digital dash it has lane guidance
Which i think makes drivers lazy

I hold the wheel in the exact same spot it is a Freightliner also, as long as you get the freight from point A to point B safely that's all that matters, keep on trucking brother

I’ve never seen a truck with the lane assist. Driving a 2024 Volvo right now. It sure does beep a lot if you get close to the lines. But I still have to 100% steer it.

You do you, the thumbs out is a real thing. The steering wheel WILL break thumbs in an accident. Your technique obviously eliminates that from happening.

Yup, I thought about this as well because I drive in that same position. It’s definitely safer to have your hands on the outside IF you’re in bad weather, the city, or sketchy situation. Air bag going off is badddd news for your arms. But if you’re on nice open roads, drive in which ever position is comfortable
