You know it’s funny when you go from a standard shift to one of those because I did When I Work for Tropicana when I was pulling trailers around the yard. It was almost like how do you drive this thing on you’re useless shifting you’re not used to pushing buttons.

If a person can't drive a manual truck they should not get a CDL period. A trucker should know how to drive any truck that they need to get the job done. All this does is allow complete idiots to receive a CDL. It's dangerous as fuck. You can't call yourself a truck driver if you can't shift gears in my book

Hey, they have their uses. When youre pouring concrete, and you have to walk the truck while you're pouring your old clutch leg gets pretty tired. Honestly in class B dump truck, concrete mixer, any stop and go kind of trucking these autos are a godsend. Manuals still rule the open road!
