They are not stupid, they are uneducated. When you get a drivers license, you are not taught how to drive around semi's, or the distance it takes to stop one. They don't actually know the potential danger. (And of course, the people in those videos we watch of others getting smashed just weren't good driver. )Lol!
You are taught when you can see the headlights in your rearview mirror, your clear to merge over.But you are educated and aware, so adjust and be more understanding. Make your videos a source of education. ❤

Actually I’m pretty sure that was close if not on par with the correct minimum length to merge. In drivers Ed, they say not to merge in front of a semi until you can fully see the entire front including the tires of the semi in your rear view mirror. And that is often the length, ish, that you would be able to see it. The reason is if they can see you you can see them, you’re supposed to be going 65 pretty sure too, it would allow for more of a gap to open up shortly after they merge

Yeah dude, I think you’ve just had too many hours on the road. I relate to most of the comments… the cars in the passing lane gave you respectable distance while letting the faster moving drivers behind them through. There was time to create more distance, nothing threatening happening. This is petty complaining, picayune, sorry.

Fyi they also moved over because that's what you're supposed to do after you pass the slower drivers if there's room and clearly there was so other people in the left lane can go by…. So calm down, you're not the only driver out there, everyone's just trying to get to their destination
