as a former trucker far too many years ago, i would have to say i would never let my doors swing open 3:15. imagine doing that and then some idiot is walking down the side of your trailer not paying any attention to whats going on! I've seen it happen and it isnt funny, even if the person walking down the side of the truck knows whats going to happen, and then they get knocked off their feet…..

Much easier and quicker to flag down a yard jockey, have him back under the trailer, raise the trailer, and go crank the landing gear down, then have him pullout,problem solved.
