It's every driver's responsibility to get out and look as they back into a space. Just as it's their responsibility to watch their mirrors as they pull out. If they can't back a semi they shouldn't have a CDL. There's to many unqualified people driving and it's the individual states that are to blame for their incompetent drivers.

This also can happen if you park on the end of an isle or if you double park. Find a parking spot with either trucks on both sides or leave your parking lights on. It'll make it easier for the other driver to back up as he can see your truck.
