I see cops on their cell phone and playing with their computer while they are going down the road, so it would not be surprising to find out that this police officer was distracted driving. I'm not saying he's guilty . I just would not be surprised.

It's probably because the cop was 5 feet away from the back of the jeep like they always do. They do it all the time and it's definitely not safe but I guess it's ok for them to do because they are cops.
